Streisand (from the movie version of Funny Girl) would surely be most impressed with Katarina McCrimmon’s spectacular vocals in Broadway’s rendition of the show, which opened Nov. 14 2023 at Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, and runs through Nov. 16.
Set in the 1920s, Funny Girl is the story of Fanny Brice, a goofy young New York girl who dreams of making it big on Broadway, usually reserved for ‘women of beauty’. Fanny’s refreshing approach as a Funny Girl on stage turns her into a star!
